Thank You Come Again No More

HARD TIMES COME AGAIN NO MORE

Live 28 Jun 2009 version

[Spoken intro:] Thank you! Woah! Oh yeah, oh yeah. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being a wonderful audience. Hyde Park is nice, very nice, a very nice park you got here. Very beautiful. Alright, back home, very hard times, millions of people out of work. This was written in 1855 by Stephen Foster. It's called "Hard Times Come Again No More."

Let us pause in life's pleasures and count its many tears
While we brace against the hard wind at our door
There's a song that will linger forever in our ears
Oh hard times come again no more

It's the song of the tired and the weary
Hard Times, hard times, come again no more
Many days you have lingered around my door
Oh hard times come again no more
Come on!

While we seek mirth and beauty and music light and gay
There are frail forms waiting at the door
Though their voices are silent, their pleading looks say
Oh hard times come again no more

It's the song of the tired and the weary
Hard Times, hard times, come again no more
Many days you have lingered around my door
Oh hard times come again no more
Soozie!

It's the song of the tired and the weary
Hard Times, hard times, come again no more
Many days you have lingered around my door
Oh hard times come again no more
Oh hard times come again no more
Oh hard times come again no more
Oh hard times come again no more

London Calling: Live In Hyde Park

Hard Rock Calling is a music festival held at Hyde Park in London, England, around early summer each year since 2006, and spans the period of two or three days. The festival is organized by Hard Rock Cafe and Live Nation.

During their Working On A Dream Tour, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band performed on the last day (28 Jun 2009) of the festival and their performance, was captured with High Definition (HD) cameras and was released in its complete form on DVD the following year. The film was officially released on 22 Jun 2010, though it premiered on the big screen in a 90-minute edited version on 05 Jun 2010 at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Museum in Cleveland, OH. The 90-minute cut was also screened in June 2010 various theaters across the United States, with benefits going either to the venue itself in the case of non-profit theater, of The Danny Federici Melanoma Fund.
